Gokarna is a small temple town in Karnataka which is popular for the Mahabaleswar Shiva temple located in the main town. Gokarna being one of the less commercialized beaches in South India is a perfect weekend getaway. Instead of Goa, we can think about Gokarna.
Other than the famous Om beach, it has Kudle beach and the more secluded Half Moon and Paradise beach. October to March is the right time to visit.
